A Poem by eglantine

I awoke to a piano
lullaby ringing in my ears
and moon lyrics
whitening my lips,

goosebumps illuminate my pale skin.

The stars talk
to me: they blink
Morse-code.  I drag
my knuckles along the blue
wall, force my skin away.

I want to see bright bone,
like fresh moon in the dark.

Another beautiful piece. I find depth in your writing that is not something I commonly see around here. The concrete nature of your poetry melted with the concise wording and imagery filled wordplay is a true treat. The second to last stanza is truly amazing...images I have not read before. Original indeed.

I can't stop seeing skin being pulled back painlessly and with a smile. This piece really gets me thonking about the idea of a "living ghost" you know what I mean?

Welcome boo
Always seems to be shock and comfort in your writes. I see, and feel joy, and then all of a sudden there is something painful, but in this one it is also a newness... 'shed old skin...'

Your writing grasps my mind, hugs it, then smiles and twists. Excellent work.

I really enjoyed this piece. Such a cryptic, although peaceful, quality. Lovely. ^-^

Reminiscent of late nights I have sat at my piano playing to the night's serene magic. I like the thought here and the awakening to new sights and sounds. Very nice.
