Previously this was a short story, of which I converted into a script. My production group will be shooting it come June.

"

FADE IN:

EXT. A FIELD - DAY

We see a MAN standing among a field of roses and petunias. His face is etched in wonder as he gazes at a WOMAN standing a few yards away.

ANGLE ON

The woman, with long ebony locks, and a pair of dazzling green eyes. She looks beautiful yet fragile, and has a peaceful composure, and is dressed in a lavender gown and milk white sash. A crown of daises rests on her head.

REVERSE ANGLE

The WOMAN stands still with her back towards the MAN.

ANOTHER ANGLE

Of the WOMAN and the MAN whose head tilted sideways and his brow creased as he trys to see her better. She turns suddenly and faces him. Her face is noticeably blurred and indistinct.

CUT TO:

The MAN who is surprised. His face then changes from surprise, to love, then to lust and determination.

MAN:
(Whispers)
Perfection. I love her...I must have her.


ANGLE ON

The WOMAN as she dashes away, spooked like a rabbit.

REVERSE ANGLE

Of the MAN's face showing utter shock.

OVER THE SHOULDER

Of the MAN as he sees the woman better, and finds out that she is floating as she flees. He shakes his head in disbelief and sprints after her.

MAN:
Impossible...


MOVING SHOT

Of the MAN catching up with her.

FAVORING

The woman turns her head and smiles at him as if to taunt him.

WOMAN
If you dare, follow me...


She turns and flees once more.

ANGLE ON

The MAN frowns and gives chase again.

CUT TO:

The MAN quickens his pace, and darts between remains of trees, and copious barbed bushes. He inches closer and closer to her. With each step a sound of a heart POUNDING grows louder and louder.

MAN:
(Whispers to self)
I will have her, no one else. Mine, yesss...my goddess, Aphrodite.


FAVORING

The WOMAN, who suddenly turns, and opens her arms, as if offering herself.

INTO FRAME:

Runs the MAN who lunges after her with his arms outstretched.

ANOTHER ANGLE

Of the MAN diving towards the WOMAN. He begins to change into a feral looking beast as his gets closer to her.

CUT TO:

The WOMAN. She vanishes and leaves a deep, pitch black chasm. The MAN hurtles past where she once stood, down into the darkness.

UNKNOWN VOICE:
Finis.

Author's Note

Davis Blake
I had some difficulty in converting a short story that was by far, largely a mental piece. Being that the story took place not in what the eye could see, but what the character felt, saw, tasted, etc... I guess you would call this, and the short story more of a stage drama.
