Right beside you

Right beside you

A Poem by Davis Blake
"

Sometimes, the one that loves you most, is the one that is always close.

"
Sometimes you're stuck where you don't want to be,
Saving face and saving your heart for bliss,
Pulling yourself together for a chance with
Someone who doesn't even see you there, Oh she
Is alone she says, but you've always been there (love).

She doesn't see you there
As you hold her together,
She doesn't see you
Loving her silently.

You stand here stuck on friend,
Trying to get inside her heart and head,
To show that you love her,
But she only sees you as a friend.

This is a great poem. And it is so true. How many times is the "friend" the one who loves you more than anybody else and is just never given the chance?

Fantastic write!!!

true! this reminds me of my painful memories of unrequited love (it hurts the most when the only person you love only sees you as a friend).

perfect in capturing the emotions. Great writing
