If you asked me to

wait for you then I would say

“that’s what I've been doing”

 

If you asked me to

hold your hand for one last time,
I’d quickly reach out.

 

If you asked me why

I never found my way home

I’d ask, “without you?”

But you didn't ask....didn't even acknowledge me

To you, I don't even exist anymore
