Farewell of Wealth

Farewell of Wealth

A Poem by MiaIntheSkywithDiamonds
"

An English project, the suicide note of a wealthy businessman.

"

Bury me with my cadence to arms

The chime of a church bell

The tick of a pocket watch

And the silk of an imported kerchief.

I cry for the poor

I pray for the rich

We who see not the strife below us.

This skin, the hands of merchants

And entrepreneurs alike

Burns with dishonesty.

I am your blemish and your beauty

Your flaws and your perfection

Your regal and your impoverished

I am gold, I am dust

I am love, I am pain

And here is where I meet my end.

Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye.

LOL...their is nothing unholy of wealth...not at all, it is how you use it, God made David and Solomon incredibly wealth...I am hoping that suicide is not on the mind..
