Ellomar, the Firstborn Eathcaller

Ellomar, the Firstborn Eathcaller

A Poem by elvenom
"

nothing new, just an old champ of mine.

"
From oldest tales ever known
a hero rose in elven myths
with heart of gold and skin of stone,
bending earth with his own fists.

By the Holy Mother touched,
blessed with nature’s precious gift,
raising walls of rock unmatched,
mighty towers he could lift.

His mind was never in the clouds;
firmly standing on the ground.
Stubborn-willed, unknown to doubts,
enlightened path of life he found.

The lands he stepped on came alive,
side by side to walk with him,
bound to share his quest and strive
against the shadow storms so dim.

Rumor says: with his last word
he left a legacy to boil -
his greatest elemental’s birth
and slumber, burrowed in the soil.

I love you for writing an earth bender inspired poem. Unmatched and touched don't rhyme if you were going for the ABAB CDCD and so on rhyme scheme here. Regardless, minor detail. The lore here is rich, I love it. I want to write more lore-style poems myself. Fantasy fiction can be so amazing. Avatar is great, LotR, Game of Thrones, and I've recently finished The Last Wish of The Witcher and also beat The Witcher 2. Such incredibly rich and beautiful (and sad) stories full of humanistic moments. Seems like this is a year old so I bet you could write this poem again and make it even more rich, as lovely as it is now. I love the last stanza, the ending, the idea of planted seeds. Perhaps he was reborn as a tree and grew large and full of life that spread the wealth with the rest of the land. At least, that's how I'm imagining it.

This reminded me of Thor, and his superb strength. The rhymes work out really well. Your characters are always awe inspiring. Well done! :)
