Mother of Leaves

Mother of Leaves

A Poem by elvenom
"

It's haiku time.

"
Primal goddess bloomed
since the dawn of ticking time -
sister of the Strings.

But not long till doomed
by the Void Lord’s cruel crime,
tearing down her wings.

Still, her will does breathe,
living in states of matter,
solid, fluid, gas.

Divided she was
in four pathways - elements
throughout the cosmos.

Earth - the endurance,
stubbornness of mind and flesh,
toughness of the roots.

Fire - love, anger, wrath,
bursting passion, catalyst,
purifying flame.

Air - freedom, movement
towards the infinity,
playground for the soul.

Water - temperance,
guiding flow, healing wave,
washing off the dark.

The elementals -
lurking pieces of herself
wonder for revenge.

Prophecies foretold:
day of unity will come;
judgment will be laid.
