Sunrise

Sunrise

A Poem by Elvis Gilley
"

A description of God's beauty.

"

Sunrise,

such a tranquil moment,

full of innocence and power.

Glorious occasion,

filled with God's love,

I beseech his joy and peace this hour.

Place his desire,

before me,

in the soft sand of this majestic vision.

Come unto me,

Holy Spirit,

bring healing unto this man.

Wash,

cleanse,

this seeking soul.

Adorn me,

bring me into thy glory,

for all the earth to behold.

Allow

the ocean spray,

to kiss these tender lips.

Let me drink,

of thy anointing,

of which until now I have only sipped.

Cradle me,

Love me,

Forever in your arms.

Enter,

this heart,

with your loving charms.

Please,

please,

stay here with me.

For just one more sunrise,

for another tranquil moment,

let me be carefree.
