Satan's Invitation

Satan's Invitation

A Poem by Elvis Gilley
"

One of deepest bipolar episodes I have ever had expressed with my heartfelt words.

"

In the deceivers hand,

a frail puppet dances,

offering hopelessness and doubt,

for all missed chances.

In the shattered mirror,

I watch as my lonely soul begins to decease,

Once a loving husband,

now I give way to a savage beast.

Tears nevermore,

along these cheeks shall flow,

for this soul,

will not let go,

Your trust,

broke my foolish will,

so I watch as drops of blood,

seep onto this windows sill.

Death knocks,

upon my door,

Pleading my presence,

forever more.

No,

is all I have to say.

For I shall not'

go down this way.

I wake to hear,

groans of hate,

for I  my friend,

am the threshold of hells gate.
