Teach Me Lord

Teach Me Lord

A Poem by Elvis Gilley
"

Some lessons we can only learn through divine intervention.

"

In this life

I have raged a courageous battle with sin and strife

Aimlessly I have wandered

while thoughts of love I have still pondered

A fear stricken man

attempts in vane to try and understand

illusions of a dreamer

the ever present realities of my redeemer

I hope in love

faithfully trusting in God above

As the delightful heart forgets a lifetime of strife

smiles bring cheer onto a youthful face as anxiety disappears from life

So as I close another day

reverently I bow my head this night

praying that once again when I awake

you will be my guiding light
