but i had to tell you

but i had to tell you

A Poem by unspokenguilt
"

basically it's about a girl who's getting married and her best friend can't be happy for her cause he loves her...he just didn't know it

"

He’s out of reach…
He’s in my grasp

I can’t believe he told you that

He’s here for me
He’s at my side

He couldn’t mean his future bride

I’ve got his ring and him my soul

That’s the price you’ll pay
That’ll be your toll

Just smile for me
And believe its right

So sorry I can’t at least not tonight

Don’t be like this
It’s what I want

And what of me, don’t I count?

You, you’re my friend…

Oh you figured that out

Why are you stressing?
What are you not saying?

Why him?

Don’t.
 You never wanted me before
 What changed now?

It has always been a thought of mine
Always at the back of my mind

Why now why not before?
What kind of fool do you take me for?

You are no fool, you’re smart…I guess
To stick with me wouldn’t be the best

I’ve got nothing to give, but this heart of mine
And it’s already stained marked by the pain

And soon a hole will form a hole were I would of kept you

If only I was quick enough to let it be known:

Oh, yes it’s true…I’m in love with you!

I liked it. It was interesting, and I love how it was somewhat like a dialogue. I could really feel the emotion in this piece. Good job!
