Today.

Today wasn't as bad as my days have usually been.

It was a little bit easier to smile and pretend I'm okay.

It was a little bit easier to look at people and say,

"Yes, what a wonderful day we're having. I've been okay today."

To nod and smile to students and professors. 

Today felt as if the sun was shining a little bit brighter on me. 

Like plants were so close to being perfectly alined.

And as if the stars were shining just a bit brighter when the sun set

to wake somewhere else. 

Today.
