Nights like tonight.

You bring tears to my eyes.. 

Not only because every once and a while,

you make me sad.

But because just as frequently,

we have conversions like the one we had tonight. 

Nights full of laughter, smiles and promises of someday. 

Where I just can't seem to get that huge smile off my face. 

And then a couple of tears sneak down my left cheek,

only reminding me of how much I miss you next to me on crisp nights like this.

Just because someone loves you doesn't mean they won’t hurt you, 

but just because they won't hurt you doesn't mean they won’t dry your tears either.

Truly an emotionally sad piece but you did it so beautifully, Emily. I can relate to this piece in so many ways. I really enjoyed it!!
