The Color Black

The Color Black

A Poem by Kaelyn
"

A poem about my favorite color and what it represents.

Black

Black is Death sneaking up on you
A superstition cat in Halloween night

Black is a burnt smell of remorse and utter sadness
Ashes of your dreams never to come true

Black,by the looks of it, the plague
A burnt calendar, now not waiting for the day that could change your life

Black is a guitar wank forever echoing in your head
Sounds if merderous screams never to be heard again

Black are the chills running down your spine violently
Fevers, poison, a chalk board

Black is the burnt sides in toast
Bitterness in mouthes of the sick

Black is the night when you're all alone
Black is the night when you can't find your home
