Please Mr. Vulture

Please Mr. Vulture

A Poem by Eric Cox

Please Mr. Vulture
don't say it's over
don't pick my bones clean
stop being so mean
stop circling above
stop your dead love
find something else to eat
I don't want to be a tasty treat
I will try and hide
but the Reaper is your guide
you are after me
please leave me be
please Mr. Vulture
don't say it's over
stop being so mean
don't pick my bones clean.

The Vulture is one of nature ugly and scary birds. They can feel death coming and will wait with great patience. I like the poem. I saw many vultures in the desert. They have no enemies. Other animals can smell death on them. The poem was outstanding. A good story and ending.

This is cute! Probably not the best time for me to read it since my dog just died but I thought it was cute still. I like how you call him Mr. Vulture, giving him his due respect. Fabulous job.
