A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

at the institution

raining

sounds

roof

strong

tapping

can't get in

the Raven loses this time

i am not drowned in my own sorrow

i am drinking from it

and getting deliriously drunk on the tears

but they can't get inside my heart

they fall by my window

i watch them,

raining

sounds

roof

strong

tapping

can't get in

nevermore

i smile,

take another belt

now totally insane

the window turns white

i don't hear anything, now

except a slight flutter of wings.

dear Jacob... this is a poem close to my heart... "a slight flutter of wings" ... a gift from above. The Raven tapping tapping can't get in ... Nevermore.
My heart is mine to keep as insanity may weep upon my mind. Truly, Pat
