inside the heart's vault


there are imprints on the white
a poet's signature
in snowy times

blissful blizzard of words
uncompromising utopia
in a wearisome winter's tale

something to sled us through
the harsh biting winds
to a safe deposit box

filled with soft sentiments
to assuage the acrimonious
disharmony falling from a foolish sky.
