the mummy's heart still beats

the mummy's heart still beats

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

the mummy's heart still beats

raw integrations

from ancient wounds

the stitches slowly un-thread

systematically dethroned

a king usurped of pride

his cuts lie open

to public scrutiny

they all shed plastic tears

for his loss

nothing is real anymore

and she becomes a non-entity

diffused into scattered memories

of feelings that once walked hand in hand

into a tomb of destiny...

Amazing- yes as the stitches slowly become undone only thendo some realise the truth but alas it disappears into a must of unseen choices - to late to take back- hands of time- losing grasp- destiny runs deep - through scars healing seeps- wonderful as always🌹strange- I had the same image of hands losing grasp in mind a few minutes ago but couldn’t find right picture- 🌹
