Mother

Mother

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Mother

so many years after umbilical longing

cured fevers,

disappointed looks,

and fervid smiles

she is cold now

in ashed resplendence

but not with frosted gaze at me

there is a sort of celestial

repose

in her deliberation...

You made her immortal today by writing this....
Us children are too annoying toward the caring mothers at times or always...again, we realise that living is way too hard without parents' shade upon us.....Endless love and respect to all the moms out there....and prayers for your beloved mom, ameen..

Missing and remembering are beautiful part of humanity. Knowing they miss us too. Lovely heartfelt writing.

That look is no doubt due in part to her being fondly remembered, in mind and words like these, so elegant that they match so well with her celestial look of deliberation.

Beautifully put Jacob. I have a small photo of my mother by my computer and thus she stays with me.

She warms you with her inner presence and that is so good. My Dad stays with me too, wherever I am.
