a garden with no sunshine

a garden with no sunshine

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

a garden with no sunshine

i was running

i heard rumors of chaos

behind my bloodied ears

my head exploded

concussions of coerced words

ended up splashing onto lily white pages

but the flowers weren't white

they were crimson and black

as the nights have been in aftermath

so much so

that the moon is hiding

in the heart of darkness.

the lights brilliance is relative in relation to darkness. "it's always night or we wouldn't need a light" said Thelonious monk. I think it is important to remember that no matter how bad things are they can always get better.
