A Poem of Sustenance

dragonfly

on its wagon by

wheels spread

the air in smoke signal inference

we are engaged

in flying lessons

but wounded hearts

become cracked wings

and the velocity kills us

before we can circumnavigate

a pond polluted by the grief

of loss

I'll take this leaf

you take that one

and we will sing praises to each other's persistence

and perhaps smooth the ride

the wings might absorb the tears

Honest and good words shared dear Jacob.
"we are engaged

I agree. Cracked wings need the superglue of true love. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

You are welcome Jacob..
in sympathy, in empathy, in kindness, in sharing our humanatic experiences, in reading others sufferings and pain, we find our solace, we feel we are not alone... hand in hand, word in word, we get stronger together. dear Jacob You are a Master Poet, and I needed to read this... thank You truly.

We the poets are like dragonfly.. We can fly but in the lower realm.. As we are bounded by our sorrows. Not like a bird which can fly freely avoiding the petty things on earth. But our sharing can make this burden a less heavier.
