A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

explanations be damned

the hierarchy of metaphor
similes under pressure
to refute the like or as
for refinement
just become what they are
without objection

Maybe just maybe the pressure creates the objection . Because as the hierarchy goes , the objection is the lesser of the like or as . Just maybe. Happy Valentines fine sir. Xoxo , Holly

The above lines are true. Some people are born damned. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

You are welcome Jacob.
Haha for the purists maybe we have to spell it out with our objectives in poetry writing but free speech opens the gates to all regardless. Poetry is an art which doesn’t have to be practical, doesn’t need a meaning , just a roadto lead the reader.

yes they do .. i agree .. we can use all the tools of poetry .. even in an analytical way .. use a formula, if you will, sterile and void of any emotion or visionary catharsis .. and still once released .. it takes on a life of its own .. we see what we see .. we is what we is :)

The outcome is shocking however it does not surprise.
Evil men always come out on top but karma at times seems to be slow in acting but the piper always gets paid.
