a slow fade

a slow fade

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

a slow fade

it was never real

blades cut with blood running

but thicker than sand in an hourglass

she's turned me upside down enough

I am dizzy bleeding love

anemic enterprise

care has found a week vein

the cloud is deflated rain

that tear on my cheek

is razor sharp to my skin

crystalizes

against the beat of my heart.

Great title.
"it was never real" I got the feeling here of being bled dry. That final stanza, a knock out.
Another great write J. Your muse is keeping you busy.
