carried away

carried away

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

carried away

float me into madness river

I want to be driftwood tears

obliged to current my feelings

aside

there are shores of memories

beauty in the reflections

like an old moon on a new ripple

but I know what we were

another may not believe or understand

but I knew them,

really knew them

and love doesn't always stay sane.

My goodness you are on a roll with the emotional writes! I love this! I feel this way all the time, well not when I’m being immature with family joking around and when I’m cooking for some reason;)

Love, by its very Nature, is not sane. More so when it ends or turns dark. It is the greatest source of emotional chaos in a person's life. Well written, J.
