Feast for the Beast

Feast for the Beast

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Feast for the Beast
love
is becoming a side dish
less prevalent
the meal is losing its meaning
we are too saturated with
the main entree
hate

Evil has become the main dish… no change in the ingredients… we are overtaken with Power hungry Vultures. Only a Cross with Prayers can alter our main Course. gently, Pat

yes, that is what can alter...I appreciate your insightful words, Pat,
j.
This short poem packs a punch and it’s sadly true. No one wants to solve problems anymore. They want to unleash their hatred on people and it’s devastating. It starts at the top, down through some media and into those who have the propensity to unleash on people they don’t even know. Love this poem as it’s saids it all. The title is brilliant.

So true, unfortunately. Again, the brevity of this packs a punch with the emphasis intended. Thank you for sharing.

You are sadly correct here. People treat love like a fad or game and hate like its a spectator's sport.

so true, Dale...thanks for your understanding words,
j.
I can see the beast munching away on all the hate. I feel so sorry for love. Dining isn't for the tender hearted anymore. A very relatable poem with all the recent senseless killings and bloodshed around us.
