Bending the Law of Love

Bending the Law of Love

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Bending the Law of Love

love is a still

in the mountains of perseverance

hard to find

but worth

the strong passion

that is imbibed

when discovered

deep in that wilderness of chance.

Simple but direct and great imagery of what love is and by setting it in nature was perfect as well. I believe love is natural and unknown and unexpected so it was a perfect parallel.

Couldn't agree more. We should all imbibe as much as we can. Its good for us and by extension so is this poem.

Ah, what a nice response,
thank you, Pat,

Love just doesn’t come with a expiry date so you just never know the longevity of each case.

Yes, and it’s as twisted as that curled copper tubing where at the end you find me: the drip.

You never know when you are going to strike gold, but surely it is worth the mining, however long it takes. All good things are worth the waiting. Deeply meaningful and beautiful with it J. Lovely piece.

Thank you for your words, Chris,

Lines two and eight are the most important in the poem. It takes perseverance to find true love, but often it remains a game of chance.

Yes indeed, toss the dice and see what you roll. Love is the ultimate crap shoot. Your way of saying it is much prettier though.
