I can relate to this, it is hard at times to see people leave us, and at first the memory hurts, but as time goes on it get's better and even though we remember those people the hurt is not present like it once was. My favorite part is the last line "It was then that I realize: even without them, I can be much happier beyond any doubt and without them, I can survive." I to have realized this time and time again.
