'WITHOUT A FATHERS LOVE'

It has been 19 years

an i have always wondered what it felt like to have a fathers love.

To play in the yard,

To smile with the ability to overcome every obstacle,

To wake up in the early morning,

Just to sit side by side hoping to catch my first fish.

To make him proud when i won my first little leauge championship.

To be there and tell me ' I am proud of you son"

I am lost without my fathers love

I have been sitting here for 19 years waiting on him to come around.

I am lost with out the other half.

I wrote you several letters an still no answer.

I have seen a variety pictures an still want to meet you.

Forever more im torn, without a fathers love

I stand here before the world,

Just to tell you i will never give up.

This poem is very heartfelt and is really touching. I feel I could relate a little bit with you. It's very obviously genuine and honest. It's a shame that too many children go without knowing their fathers. Very nice work!
