permanence

permanence

A Poem by Juzo

tell me what you know about heartache.

i cant help but watch the headstones flash by as i drive;
maybe because i am looking for a name,
your name?
to be etched in stone.
it’s already etched into me.
“here lies my hope and all of my love, my dreams and my tomorrows”

i wish this were more a time capsule than a funeral-
that i could visit you when i miss you too much,
pick things up right where we left off

did you hang the stars in the sky just so i could look up
and not feel so alone?
i spent my entire life searching for you, and now what do i have?
how many rebirths will it take to find you again?
