Eagles

Eagles

A Poem by Deborah Shepard

Revered in native eagles light
Across the storm-tossed branch of time
Snow rider of strength, ancestry, prayers carried in wings
Natural beauty mothers earths Celeste, he will hear the spirit sings

Evening majesty in wilderness sky
Breathe gliding encounters to each given flutes tune
Sacred spirit dream catchers rune
Untamed footsteps, brown amid trees

Sunlight, earths hums, each of his inner glow
Crisp beauty show in early dew, rivers softly flow
Cherokee prayers, flames of the sovereign spirit
Prairie voices and wolfs call, each pebbled shawl
