Little White Lies

Hiding the truth to make someone feel better...

Why do they call them

Little white lies

They aren't always so little

and they're definitely not white

White means innocence and purity

A lie can not be white

No matter what a lie is always tainted black

Or maybe gray

But never white

 

Even trying to protect someone

Telling little white lies

is still lying

Still stealing the truth from someone

and making them ignorant

 

Tell little white (gray) lies

Taint your heart with evil

trying to protect some one you love

but it isn't worth lying to someone

in attempt to protect them

if you love them

you always tell them the truth

The message behind this poem is awesome! However, your word coordination seems a bit confused. If you would attempt a bit of coordination this will be an excellent piece. I read a few of your poems and you have a gift. Keep exercising that gift!

Very good, I feel like it's been forever since I last heard from you! Great idea though, and lying DOES make people ignorant, and usually only leads to others getting hurt.

i'm not an expert with poetry but i think, maybe you could present it with more creativity... i dunno...
