crumpled love

crumpled love

A Poem by Fariha Tahseen Karim
"

everyone single or in a relationship once loved to fall in love and hated to say good-bye. tear drops can be rubbed off but pain cannot. The scar remains

"
I looked at you and couldn't take my eyes off you
You were special and inside you there is something new
I took a pen and jotted down a rhyme
I started enjoying the sunset for the first time
I missed you like the sun misses the moon in the morning sky
I cried out of happiness till my tears were dry
I loved horror films because your love haunted my life
We imagined our future together and said we will built our own hive

Whenever you spoke I gazed at your lips
When I faced harsh reality, I prayed so that your love never flips
I stopped eating chocolate because your love was more sweet
At night, I stared at nothing but could hear the morning birds tweet
I just wanted to keep your face etched in my mind
But every-time I looked at it I got lost and became blind
When my heart skipped a beat, I knew something was not right
My tears prevented my eyes to close at night

Without any reason I looked at the phone
When I was sad I wanted to hear a particular tone
I stared at a blank sheet
And ignored the scorching heat

But distance crawled in and crumpled our love
I hoped your love wouldn't fly away like a dove
I had daydreams and nightmares at night
Because I was afraid of loosing you after our big fight

cool, about the daydreams at night, I didn't think about that, but it is possible to daydream at night, it's so messed up but then so passionate as well

so classic and love story, sincere as well

that's so sweet too to build your own hive, like the birds and the bees, to imagine oneself as a bee.. read more

That's one of the fears people have. The fear of losing one's love. Love is a strong feeling and it takes our heart as our mind. Strong fealings. Keep writing. :)

This poem is pretty with its visible meaning about love and life... How harsh can love be if it can be soft...How life moves the way it has to without your permission... The poem shows the sadness of a lover while remembering his beloved...The poem is excellent in rhyming scheme...Thanks for sharing this brilliant piece of yours here...Keep it up!
