The Divorce

The Divorce

A Poem by F.B. Lindsey

Cool kitchen table

Holding me up

What did you just say?

I dont understand.

Ozzy Osborne

Crooning in there

Is it my fault momma?

Tears hit the table and sizzle

I just don’t understand.

Is he eating another bat?

It’s nobody’s fault?

Then why are you leaving?

More sizzle.

I still don’t understand.

Thank you!
Got a nice fresh approach with this poem, with the conversation angle, I like it!
You need some quotation marks!

Thanks for the encouragement and input!
Could it be you don't pay enough attention to her? Diversions like ozzy can really be a metaphor for a love that is lost. Mama, there's no home to come to anymore. Good poem and welcome.
