i didn't want to do it

i didn't want to do it

A Poem by felioness
"

It is about doing something you later regret.

"

i didn't want to do it

but i did

and now

the moon smirks

and tears rain

and night falls

whispering my name

recriminations

move amongst the aspen stands

soft ghostly voices

wincing in pain

i am abandoned by my selfishness

i didn't want to do it

but i did

and now

a coldness

runs through my veins

and sunshine is a memory

fading fast

and

i am running out of gas

with no one but myself to blame

and nowhere to go

because

i can't hide from my soul

i didn't want to do it

... but i did
