Memory Of A Kiss

i still remember
that crestfallen day
so gloomy and cold
it makes me smile
the memory fresh, alive
and i can still feel
the chill in the air that day
and i can still taste
the sweetness that was
our first kiss

we went wild
in riotous silence
under a blanket
as kisses chased feelings
and heartbeats raced
unspoken words hovered
but we never needed them
with thoughts connected
we were fine then
so very fine
