Laughing

Laughing

A Poem by Jane Doe

Laughing

Giggling,
Laughing,
Smirking,
Smiling.

It all shows promising signs,
Of happiness,
That is of course if they aren't hiding something,
Which we all do at one point or another maybe even our whole life.

I wish,
Everyone laughed a true laugh,
No fakes,
No frauds.

Nothing,
To keep the world from going round,
Or to cage us in like the birds we are,
Nothing to hold us down.

So give it all up,
Confess to someone,
Somehow and get it over with,
Because in the end no one really wants to be faking a smile.
