Club Silencio

Club Silencio

A Poem by Jason
"

Inspired by the film "Mulholland Drive"

"

"Crying over you"

Echoes on the stage

Her painted lips and silent face

SHHHH!!

(This is all, a recording)

And it was,

As I saw it play out

The glitter and sparkles

Of her memory, in doubt

The carousal of truth

Twists its dull blade

Fade, then reappear

Does it all become clear?

NO...

(But this is all a recording)

Figures trim the spotlight

With their shadows

Oh how it echoes!

Cascading off a stage

In a beautiful color of rage

Pain shakes and stirs

And it finds it way

In a cage

Without a key

Broken patterns

Like the steps

Made in ice

A night before the spring

Thaw her memory again

Who is she?

Where did she come from?

(This is all a recording)

She whispers

An unheard voice

In her lovers mind

"Crying over you"

Why?

Repeated-

"Crying over you"

She collapses

"Crying over you"

And her guilt

Disappears

"Crying over you"

Like colors of the night lamps

Before dawn

(This is all a recording)
