Thinking Back

Also about my ex best friend...written 10-6-94

We shared a lot of laughter and a lot of sorrow

I know that we'll never be together come tomorrow

I wish we could go back in time and be together again

We had so many fights, mostly about men

I know one day I will move back

then I can stuff my memories in a sack

We'll make new memories and new beginnings

We can go camping, hiking and swimming

I feel in my heart we'll be reunited within a year

but for now I think back and wipe away my tears.

Time can be cruel as it pulls even the closest to us away for many reasons... I myself have four best friends since fifth grade and though we remain that way we don't see each other that often but our bond will never be broken. your piece is very touching.
