It's not good for me
to be loved
so completely
so when the moment fades
and lonliness crawls back in
on hands and knees
I welcome it
like an old friend
and crush the memory
of loving effortlessly
between fingers
gripping too hard
and watch it all
mocking me
as the ashes
float away
