Silence is Golden

Silence is Golden

A Poem by Flow
"

Just a thought for today

"

Silence is Golden

It is my quietness

That makes me meek

A gentle giant to some

But to most

I am weak

Not because of a Lack

Of physical strength

But because being

Soft spoken

Kind hearted

And in touch

With my thoughts

And emotions

Equates me more feminine

Than masculine

It takes a deep soul

To see that I am actually

More submissive

Than Dominant

Still…

Within my faith

Are beliefs that

If you have the

Faith of a mustard seed

You can move mountains

Forgive and forget

So you may be forgiven

If someone smacks my one cheek

Turn to them my other

And the meek

Shall inherent the earth

Amen…

For it takes more strength

To forgive someone

To bridal your tongue

To restrain your flesh

From physical assault

It takes power to hold morals

Love your values

Keep your word

I can drop a pebble in the sea

And watch the ripples

Move past huge waves

And treacherous deep seas

I am a gentleman

With a heart

The size of

A mustard seed

It is more love

Than anyone

Will ever need

Wow, again you have driven me breathless with your wonderful words that flow so elegantly as you read them while they paint an array of visuals in the mind. You continue to amaze me more and more with every poem of yours that I read and I look forward to reading many, many more as they come and I am able to read them. Another wonderful read and write my friend.

that ending is just fantastic. :) perfect ending - and sometimes that is the hardest thing to do, as we all know.

"If you have the
Faith of a mustard seed
You can move mountains"

i love that - love how you brought in the mustard seed, and then followed through with it again in the end.

"It takes power to hold morals

Love your values

Keep your word"

yes yes yes.

i needed this piece right now. beautiful.

A Gentle Giant with the perfect view of love: 1 Corinthians 13:4 - 8. Your faith is your strength, making you stronger than most and to be longed for. I admire the insight of this piece.

This is a poem of strengh and a understanding of yourself, and that
is all that truly matters.

Wow... this is so true. It does take more strength to forgive than to revenge. As for as submission goes... well there are those who give and those who receive. Sometimes we do both in succession. LOL It takes a strong man to submit as well. Many cheers on this work.

It's nice to hear from a different side of you. This feels like it should be in a play. A single spot light finds a man standing center stage. As he begins his monologue his head is down creating a deep, haunting shadow over his face, but as he progresses he lifts his head slowly and his face is illuminated.
There isn't much imagery, but this is very visual to me. Almost like watching a flower bloom. Thank you for writing.
