Bridge the Gap

Bridge the Gap

Bridge the Gap

Tweety once said,

“I tawt I taw a Putty Tat!”

Septembers’ past

never forgotten seconds,

“I thought I saw a coup d’etat”

That was NOT it!

Be “real…”

The world never changed that day.

We weren’t capable of it then,

we didn’t see it coming,

maybe because we were busy

focusing on what was happening

in other Peoples’ backyards.

We can’t admit it to ourselves

Heck, Tony Blair still

doesn’t really think

he was duped.

We buy so much stuff we don’t need

we need so much

right stuff

we cannot buy

and it takes time to HEAL

Our current state of health

has been systematically derived/induced

for a long time, and it didn’t

require the knowledge

of Aliens nor Evil

Why is

Israel a taboo hotbed?

Why can’t we find a guy

who we trained for

his current line of work.

How and why did we lose touch?

With Him and the rest of Reality?

Perhaps the Patriot Act

freed us from the right

to act based on our cares

arising from our common humanity

Thankfully we can depend on our kids,

the system has prepared them well

to separate reality from fiction…

Then again, perhaps

Homeland Security

is an Oxymoron.

I agree. 911 didn't change the world..
the world was already in a state of emergency...

AND, the real weapons of mass destruction are ....
our minds.

"Then again, perhaps
Homeland Security

Sort of like...
The War on Terrorism is a double standard.

(I'm gonna catch hell for that one. lol )

Ok Robin, I have to TOTALLY agree with Dani C. on this one. All the way down to the part about Homeland Security and the War on Terrorism! Good job, well done, kuddos... ;)

Homeland security an oxymoron? I suspect so! I think that the alleged child molestors in the new Homeland Security Agency are a bigger risk to America than the terrorists.

I prefer the profound statement by Yosemite Sam, "My biscuits are burning! Fire in the hatch!" How deep and profound is that?

Peace and love,
Gabe

"The world never changed that day.

-im pretty sure this is referencing 9/11. If I'm right, then i totally agree. The world never did change that day. But I think it was because if (and the chances are almost 100 to 1) 9/11 was an inside attack, we didnt get any better or worse. And the thing is that no, the majority of us didnt see it coming, cause we were too busy stuffing our faces with fast food and actually TRUSTING the government. Real smart. And that does come from our influence from other people..So much of today's society takes influence from other people that a lot of us would be surprised how much it affects. For instance, many parents these days tend to take into consideration what other parents do with their children..before making any kind of judgments of their own. This is irrelevant because every single person is different, and obviously the same circumstances will never apply to two different people, but no one considers that.

"We can't admit it to ourselves
Heck, Tony Blair still
doesn't really think
he was duped."
-->That's true, we, as Americans, cannot admit anything to ourselves because we're so wrapped up in influence! So many of us know enough to be healthy and smart, but we fail to acheive it because we cant look farther than what we see is right based on other people.

"We buy so much stuff we don't need
we need so much
right stuff
we cannot buy
and it takes time to HEAL"
--> YES, that is SO true. Our nation uses 75% more petroleum than we actually NEED to function happily..that means we could live like FAT PIGS in comparison to the rest of the world with that much less petroleum..but we had to go and f**k it up. And yeah, it takes time to heal. Unbearable amounts of time. right now its looking like that amount of time is not enough.

"Our current state of health
has been systematically derived/induced
for a long time, and it didn't
require the knowledge
of Aliens nor Evil"
-->very much so. look at the fast food industry! Its absolutely disgusting. I love this part cause it indicates the LIES our government is so fond of telling us.

"Why is
Israel a taboo hotbed?
Why can't we find a guy
who we trained for
his current line of work.
How and why did we lose touch?
With Him and the rest of Reality?"
--We lost it the moment humanity organized governmental systems, and religion, because just as being the most intelligent race known to mankind is good, it's also bad..in that as much as we have an advantage, we're doomed to f**k ourselves over. Religion has been so perverted that it's not even funny. that's why anyone who has any real faith in "Him" as well as a reasonable standpoint on society is so rare nowadays.

"Perhaps the Patriot Act
freed us from the right
to act based on our cares
arising from our common humanity"
-->again, everything governmental is fucked. We're done.

"Thankfully we can depend on our kids,
the system has prepared them well
to separate reality from fiction"
-->Well..somewhat. But it doesnt change the fact that the government would rather f**k them up and take their money than see to their well-being.

"Then again, perhaps
Homeland Security
is an Oxymoron."
-->homeland security is bullshit. All you have to do is look at our "invasion" of iraq. They called that mission "Enduring Freedom." I dont know about the rest of America, but freedom is not something I want to endure. I "endure" a root canal. I enjoy my freedom.

I absolutely LOVE that you wrote this poem. Great work, seriously. These topics need to be addressed, and that you can do that poetically is beautiful.

Absolutely agree with you, my friend!! Coup d'etat sums up what the Bush/Cheney administration has done, hijacking our nation for their idealogical games. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but as a person born in the US, it is so obvious to me what they have done. For anyone who doesn't understand, go to youtube and type in the keywords 9/11 coincidences, and look for yourselves. You'll come up with a lot of BS, but at the same time, you'll come up with many scientific experts OUTSIDE OF THE US who can explain some things about that day which will leave you wondering, who really attacked us that day? Much love to, Robin....

It is definetly a "moron" something. :) Great write. Not your usual fare that I have read. So sad the truth of it all though. Did you ever read my piece called "A Letter For King George"? I can't remember. Kudos to you.
