The Real Robin

The Real Robin

A Poem by Cardinal Robin
"

what I experienced today...

"

The Real Robin

and the woman asked our Mentor

“Today…I     arose…

But…      did…     I…       ‘Arise’?”

and her Tall Tale eyes

filled All the World’s Rains

with Earth’s pain

and the Oceans

fell the Trees

NOW there’s fewer

healthy Birds and Bees and Flower Ees

so feathers buzzing fear bombs

couldn’t ever carry

her heavy heart full of weary

not for her, nor far aways

and it made me

Laugh…a little suddenly

and just    as    fast

I Died For Her (inside…)

it made me cry

I stood    up      qu i e  t   l    y…

left the Hall

and our Mentor

I stood in the foyer

with the floors

and the walls

Aflame with pure MIND

So I left the Retreat

Center and I     … ….. ………. ………..RAN! runrunrunrunrunrunrunrunrunrun

I ran the Hell away

Crying and Laughing

NOW fuel my Breath of FIRE

for the Loving REST

of my living days

in my new true nature

FREE AT LAST!

and as mad as our mentor…

Robin

Robin,

You have a compassionate and
beautiful soul...

and I read that right here,
right now.

""TodayI arose

But did I 'Arise'?"

That is .... deafening

I know we play word games
a lot....
and I often rave about the complexity,
depth...
and uniqueness of your writing...

and I mean every word of it.

but my friend,

this one
is your best ..
because it's YOU..

without the hoopla.

and you're beautiful.

Drawn back to this piece again and again, to try and understand exactly what's being said as opposed to having a vague comprehension but I guess i won't ever because I wasn't there, so I need to accept the abstract and leave it at that and just appreciate your attempt to share yourself and this scene with us.
Sometimes we become so overwhelmed by another's pain or confusion that we have to run away because we know certain questions have no answers, or they have answers that don't satisfy, or very saddening ones. And it feels like insanity bubbling up [sometimes it overspills from our tear ducts].
Great work. You made good use of layout technique, and none of it felt redundant [some people overdo it]; it set tone and pace for us, and felt a little like taking a seat in the pews of your mind.
Thanks Robin.

I am blurred out for a while.

(looking for whiskey, damn it, I am in the office today)

(can't smoke, can't drink)

Your piece was... was...

well...

your pieces always has me surprised and astounded at what a good writer can conjure up with. I still keep learning from your craft on what I have not done that is possible. It is like you just turned a paper cup into a nuclear reactor, you have great skills on bringing out more potential out of something we thought would have limitations, you have great skill.

A wonderful piece.

Hehe, I love the movement in this piece. I can tell that you had a lot of fun with it! It feels like something that was written on the fly, not much thought, just movement. I like where you take us with this poem, sometimes I feel like we're almost going in a circle instead of a straight line. Great job!

This was an interesting write.. The pace seemed to speed up towards the end, adding a sense of urgency to it.. Perhaps that was just me, though.. I've been in a situation something close to this, so I can understand it.

Anyways. It was an interesting write.

Wow...
This is... Intense... To say the least.
Though, I wouldn't go as far as to say it's made me fall in love with you.
You'll have to do better for that; I drive a hard bargain... ^.~

Wonderful write, though.
I am impressed!

Awesome! I love the different colored font - purple! That makes the presentation something else. Keep up the good work!

Peace and love,
