These Words

These Words

A Poem by Alana Michele

These words

Caught up in the moment

Floating                           by

Peeled apart

Phrase and     meaning

Twisted…mutated

Deformed by their proud thoughts

Trying every angle

They are shutting you out

Pulling                   you                apart

Piece        yourself      back   together again

Rage seeps through

Leaking out through your veins

Igniting the thoughts to

This shouldn’t go to far

Careless … don’t fall to far

Get it out

Let the twisting flames burn

down

golden orange tongues fade

midnight coals trace vibrant red lines

your fuel

they can’t take these words away

this is how it was ment to be

This was fantastic. The title brought me in and I'm glad it did. I love this style of writing, its fresh and sharp. Very well done!

wow the structure in this really adds to the poem, it keeps it flowing very nicely, especially the line; "Pulling you apart" ...very creative!
