The Breaking

The Breaking

A Poem by Alana Michele

Rage leaks out

Fire steals the last

The last thread of hope

Seething in the darkness

Glowering

Impatient fingers drumming

Breathe it out

the heat sears your lips

feel  the wrath

inside hatred

the fear breaks

crackling the empty soul

nothing now but the devoid

a thick blackness consumes

then gone

There's certainly a load of energy within this one isn't there. Each stanza is filled with acton and energy. I personally would have left the word "the" out of the third to last stanza. It sounds like one syllable too many. Great poem. II'd hate to be on the recieving end of this one. Ha
