Psychedelic-induced Poetry

A Poem by iliketowrite
"

Wrote this on the dance floor.

"
Grainy dark zooming scenery,
little steps of sprawling magnificence.
Strobe light-
a profound emission
pierces inner body machinery.
Stomach ruptures,
envisage the sounds your body follows.
Lagging sight,
quivering fingertips,
an impossible explosion goes off in your brain.
You sit down,
you fall backwards:
the music never stopped.

A bit abstract (in my eyes at least), but enjoyable nonetheless. "The music never stopped" was just an awesome line, period. Effective imagery makes the poem itself. I'm not sure I quite understand the "stomach ruptures" part, but still, great job :) It's deep. I enjoyed it

A very strong description. Photo gave life to the words. Good words in music can create peace and sent us to a better place with the assistance of light and movement. Thank you for the excellent poem.
