So you know who you are?

So you know who you are?

A Poem by Daniel Olson
"

About the illusion of self and how that translates into a person that has never really questioned anything.

"

You know who you are

You know what makes you laugh

And you know what you should wear

Like those stone washed pants

And a certain off white shirt that says you don’t care

But you do care which is why you wear that shirt

You know what doesn’t make you laugh

And why you always look proud at the flag

Because the righteous came out on top

and you never did mind the ruin, and never did mind the quiver

for the hero’s death rattle will never stop

and all you have to do is change the channel

which you do with unsung grace

because..

you know what you like to watch and it surly isn’t this

and your favorite show is on in fifteen minutes

so you should have just enough time to walk your dog

the dog you spent hours on end deciding what kind would fit your style.

Of coarse you picked a pit bull,

Because you aren’t one to be messed with

And you really are bad enough to own one

And, and well lets not get into it anymore

Lets not get into ANYTHING anymore

I mean why question all that needs questioning ?

I have looked in the mirror,

And I know,

Who I see!

It's good, it's different. You know who you are.
