masques

masques

A Poem by free2bee

When we met

life became

true

I was  so sure

that my

course was set

you were the alpha

omega

giver of love

Slowly, craftily

after the power

had been given

Layers were stripped.

masques revealed

false faces

laughed

the giver became

the taker

truth revealed

to be

only

a mockery

a masque

to be used

to suit

it's maker's

purpose

feed me

it called

pity me

it wept

leave me

it challenged

where had

the true one gone

reality spoke

it never was

This was a poem of riddle, and twists and turns.
To me it says of a love so perfect, then goes away...
just my opinion;). Good job...AD

So much said in such few words.
A breathtakingly powerful piece with a beautiful flow.
The last line gave it the finishing touch it deserved.
Well done.

Yrs.

Azaradelle.
