A Poem by freelancejouster

those split-second moments

when sharp situations lose their harsh edges

and black and white fade to gray.

a sense of calm overwhelms

and enfolds,

infusing the air with opportunity

and those soft thoughts that prompt onward

murmuring of life.

and then it's gone.

and you're left with an afterglow

and the weight of the world returning full-force.

crushing.

Those Zen moments are the good ones....like a moonwalk; bouncing weightless among the stars like a spacefrog, not a worry, not a care, then, WHAM! Reality crashes back down like a flyswatter!

Honestly,
as far a form, function and content, this is the best I've read from you. Really good stuff!

Cheers!

A few verses summing up just about everything. I loved it.
Somehow, while reading it I had the visualisation of the first few minutes of 'The Vow'.
Brilliant job!

This is a handful of awesome. Like you are caught in a moment that you don't want to let go of.

Ah, those mental orgasms that transcend the existential ache are what this human experiment is about. It's what makes the long bouts of the fatass, troublesome world sitting on your head worth living through. Like, be steady, That next epiphany is coming up! God, it takes so long to get here, though.

Yeah,
goodstuff.
