Color My World

Color My World

A Poem by Frieda P

We breathe words, send them out to be born
they inflict comfort or pain decidedly
pen a rant and it's undeniably recognized
what of the subtleties of our demeanor
provoking chaos and damage control
is, is 'is', or is it?
We only see in other's, what is born inside
our own chromatic lives and tribulations
paint the picture of our acknowledgments
'been there, done that' speaks volumes
do you see me through glazed tainted eyes
or, do you read me with the flair of an artist
each brush stroke, another indelible mark

I trace your berries of scarlet compassion

Color me burnt sienna with umbra

Much appreciated Shorty. :-)
As always you construct poetry like an oil painting. In layers of meaning and emotion.

Thank you kind sir, means a lot.
We bare our soul for the world to see as we take a crayon from the multi-colored universe of experience, dreams, disasters, results and we place it on the canvas of life and begin to draw a portrait, or a landscape that we want others to understand. Those that have also painted such a piece shall, and those who have not will perhaps
want to frame the piece of art and say, "Oh, what vision the artist has"!

As you have traced the berries of scarlet compassion I can "see" your pain, and know you have chosen the colors of burnt sienna with umbra as the crayon has melted from the intensity of it all!!!

Another wonderful sharing of your heart and soul!!
