A Force to be Reckoned

A Force to be Reckoned

A Poem by Frieda P

Sometimes
         they just flow
 and other times
         they're like pulling teeth
          they need to be polished.

  Sometimes
    they're deep and frothy,
sometimes they just
sling an arrow
right to the heart of it

Long and tedious
            or short and sweet
not sure which is
               the better treat

Each in it's own way,
a force
to be reckoned

Make sense of a rhyme
            or doing the time

Relationships and Poetry
 go hand in hand

Some impact

 or not

branding an
          indelible print
           of life consumed

either way you've
              lived through them
around them,
in them
              were momentarily,
or forever moved

 only to come out
            the other side,

 wiser

If not stronger,

nonetheless...

we do live through, around and in words...and those words often determine whether the relationship is short or longer...

short, not necessarily being sweet...

but long is not necessarily good either...

unless the words and feelings are sweet--

you are a master of your craft.

Yes, so very intertwined and linked. I prefer the poetry to not be so long as in wallowing in an emotion rather than expressing it. Although I'm sure I'm guilty of writing that way at times. Great correlation drawn between our writing and relationships.

Grazie khicks ;-)
I like the link between the two, which took me by surprise. Unlike poetry I think relationships can be long and sweet too!

Perhaps, if you're lucky! Thanks Claire.
This is a splendid observation. Words are powerful or boring as hell as are poems.
